Who we are
Hizmedia LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a UK based web studio that builds custom software and websites for clients worldwide. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have. If you have any questions, email director@hizmedia.com.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you use our contact form or email us, we collect the details you provide:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if you choose to give it
- The service you are interested in
- The message you send us
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect basic usage data through analytics and cookies, such as the pages you visit, your device and browser type, and approximate location. We use Google Tag Manager to manage these tools.
How we use your data
We use the information we collect to:
- Reply to your enquiry and discuss your project
- Provide and deliver the services you engage us for
- Understand how the site is used so we can improve it
- Keep our site secure and working properly
We will only use your details to market to you if you have asked us to, and you can opt out at any time.
Legal basis
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), we rely on: your consent, for example when you submit the contact form or accept analytics cookies; our legitimate interests in running and improving our business; and the performance of a contract, when we deliver work you have engaged us for.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted providers that help us operate the business, and only so far as they need it:
- An email provider (Resend) to send and receive enquiry and confirmation emails
- Analytics providers (Google) to understand how the site is used
- Our hosting and infrastructure providers to run the site
Each of these processes data on our behalf under their own terms and security measures.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies, mainly for analytics through Google Tag Manager. Essential cookies keep the site working, and analytics cookies help us understand and improve it. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details only as long as we need them to respond to you and, where relevant, to deliver and account for work. After that we delete them. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the analytics tools we use.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any of these, email director@hizmedia.com and we will respond. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to act quickly if anything goes wrong.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed, and the latest version always lives on this page.
